Stars At Full Strength: Kuffour Reports To Camp

The home-based component of the Black Stars yesterday joined their foreign-based colleagues in training after accomplishing club assignments.

Dan Quaye, Sammy Adjei, Amankwah Mireku, Ablade Morgan and Dan Coleman of Hearts, Louis Quainoo and Nana Arhin Duah of Kotoko, and Abubakari Yahuza and Hamza Mohammed of Faisal delayed their response to national duty till yesterday due to their clubs engagement in continental assignments over the weekend.

The team also welcomed six other foreign-based players on the second day of training towards both the two-in-one 2006 Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers against Burkina Faso on Saturday. The foreign-based players who joined the team for yesterday's training included Samuel Osei Kuffour, Lawrence Aidoo, Sulley Muntari, Laryea Kingston, Christian Atta Gyan and Derrick Boateng.

Nine players were already in camp. These included skipper Stephen Appiah, Ibrahim Tanko, Ishmael Addo, Asamoah Gyan, Emmanuel Osei, Addoquaye Pappoe, Anthony Obodai, John Mensah and Richard Kingston.

Yesterday?s attendance handed Coach Barreto the full compliment of the team he expected for the Ouagadougou challenge. The team is expected to leave for the match on Friday.
