Accra, March 15, GNA - Black Stars trainer Goran Stevanovic is looking forward to an experience of the Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko football rivalry on Sunday.
The Serb has confirmed he will be in the stands for the titanic Week 22 clash involving the nation's two most successful clubs as he begins his plans of identification of potential local national team players.
Stevanovic told GNA Sports that his appetite has been whetted by the reports and comments on the match and cannot wait be a part. "I want to see the Hearts-Kotoko encounter. I have heard of the intense rivalry and I want to have a feel of the game."
It would be the first time the Stars trainer is attending a local game since taking over the reigns of the national team last month. "I want to watch more games to identify more players locally," said the 44-year old trainer.
The decision of the coach could be motivated by the heated rivalry in Serbia between Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade clubs.
Both Kotoko and Hearts have a player each in the Stars squad for the Congo and England games, with Sammy Adjei from the camp of Hearts of Oak and striker Nathaniel Asamoah from Asante Kotoko.
