Steve Polack back to handle King Faisal

Kumasi, Jan 7, GNA - The management of Kumasi-based King Faisal Babies is to re-engage British expatriate coach Steve Polack to handle the technical affairs of the Club.

Mr Samuel Otoo, Communications Director of the Club who disclosed this to the GNA Sports in Kumasi on Wednesday, said the move follows the string of abysmal performances by the playing body in the matches they had played so far since the beginning of the 2008/2009 Premier League.

He said that after a careful study of the dwindling fortunes of the club by the management, it became clear that the team's failure was as a result of technical bankruptcy on the part of the technical bench.

Coach Polack was contracted by Faisal for a one-year loan for the 2007/2008 League but the management could not renew his contract with the coach also not agreeing to the terms proposed by Faisal, which forced him to leave.

"As I am speaking with you now, the coach has agreed in principle with management that he was ready to work with us after we put forward the new terms under which we intend to work with him", Mr Otoo told the GNA Sports.

Mr Otoo said as a result of the latest development, management

is preparing for an accommodation for the coach to make his stay

comfortable and conducive to undertake his duties. The Communication Director further hinted that management has

with immediate effect increased the winning bonuses of the players

following their sterling performance against Berekum Arsenals in their

fifth-week match in Kumasi in which Club won 1-0. "Management has increased the bonuses of the players across

board to motivate them to give off their best so that they would be

better motivated to ensure victories in subsequent matches", he said. Mr Otoo urged all well-meaning supporters of the club to rally

behind the management and the club at all times for them to achieve

laurels.
