According to a source close to the Kumasi giants, the Porcupine Warriors are willing to offer the English man $2,500 but the former Berekum Chelsea tactician is asking for $3,000.

The source revealed that Polack wants $3,000 because it was the same amount that was given to the then coach of the club Zdravko Logarusic and also there will be more responsibilities for him taking the club to Africa next year.

“The reason why Steve Polack has not sign a new deal at Kotoko is that he wants $3,000 as monthly salary but the club wants to give him $2,500,” a source close to the club told Ghanacrusader.com.

“He knows that Dzravko Logarusic was given $3,000 as monthly salary when he was Kotoko coach, so he also wants that same amount. The other thing is that he will be taking the club to Africa and his responsibilities as coach of the club will increase, and that is why he wants that amount,” the source added.”

Pollack took charge of Kotoko midway through last season, he finished 5th with the club after the Ghana Premier League but he won the FA Cup by beating Hearts of Oak 3-1.
