Strasbourg midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko has lauded the immediate impact of Ghana striker Majeed Waris to the team.

Waris netted the winner for Strasbourg in their 1-0 victory over Toulouse on Wednesday in the French Ligue 1.

The 28-year-old Ghanaian took just a minute and 54 seconds to announce his presence in the game, when he came on as a second half substitute.

The ex-FC Nantes forward was relieved after a troubled first half to the season at Portuguese side FC Porto.

“I want to find pleasure and help Strasbourg. There, I score on my first ball, it's great, " he said Wednesday after the game.

Meanwhile, teammate Ibrahima Sissoko is happy with the arrival of the Ghanaian, insisting the striker has settled in quick.

"Frankly, it's as if he has been with us since the start of the season," said midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko.

Waris is on loan from Porto till the end of the season, with Strasbourg having the option of making the move a permanent one at the end of the season.
