Asokwa Deportivo SC have confirmed talks with Ivorian champions Associate Sportive Tanda over a possible move for prolific striker Joel Fameyeh.

According to the President of the Division One side, Amidu Camarat, the Ivorians approached him during the second leg of the Local Black Stars game in Cote d’Ivoire to discuss a possible move for the youngster.

“It’s true they approached me through a Ghanaian journalist when we came for the game to talk about the boy. But I asked them to come over to Ghana for us to complete the deal if indeed they want the boy,” Camarat said.

Joel Fameyeh who is on the radar of many Ghanaian clubs including champions AshantiGold SC as well as Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak scored 36 goals in 34 appearances this season.

Tanda finished the 14-club league on 51 points, just a point more than ASEC Mimosas, to be crowned Ivorian champions for the 2014/15 season.

The newly crowned champions will represent Cote d’Ivoire in next year’s CAF Champions League.
