Striker Leaves Black Stars Camp For Trials

Sekondi Hasaacas and Black Stars striker Issa Mohammed has left the Ghana national team's camp for Russia to have trials with Spartak Moscow.
Mohammed has left for a trial with the Russian side, despite the fact that the Black Stars are preparing for their last World Cup group match against Nigeria in Port Harcourt on Sunday.

It is widely believed that the move by the striker shows the lack of importance Ghana attaches to the game even for pride, as the Black Stars have no chance of qualifying for the World Cup in 2002 to be co hosted by Japan/Korea.
