Sulley Muntari seeks to make history

Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari is seeking to reinvent history by scoring in Sunday’s clash against Cesena, the first club he scored against when he joined AC Milan.

Having arrived in January 2012 at Milan, Sulley Muntari has since gone on to score 12 goals with the rossoneri jersey: 10 in Serie A and 2 in the Champions League.

His first one was against Cesena at the Manuzzi stadium on the 19th of February 2012 in a match that ended 3-1 in favour of the rossoneri.

Cesena are Milan’s next opponents in Serie A this Sunday and Muntari is seeking to repeat the dose he downed on their opponents two years ago.

But there are insider reports from AC Milan suggest Muntari could be rested for today’s match which could rob him of the chance to make history.
