Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has undergone an MRI scan following a recent injury at Saudi side Al Ittihad Jeddah.
Muntari, 31, suffered the injury during his side’s 4-3 win over Al Hilal in the Saudi Arabian Pro League on Friday.
The Ghana international underwent further test at Bupa Arabia, the official healthcare partner of his club to ascertain the veracity of the injury.
Muntari has struggled with injuries since he joined the side from Italian giants AC Milan.
He has only featured in 5 league games for the ambitious gulf side.
