Defender Rashid Sumaila has been handed a late call-up into the Ghana squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
The 25-year-old has been drafted in to give the Black Stars a much-needed cover in the injury-hit defensive department for the September 8 clash.
Both John Boye and Kassim Nuhu have had to opt out of the squad through injury.
Coach Kwesi Appiah has thus handed Sumaila a late call-up to shore up the numbers in that department.
Sumaila has had an impressive start since his move to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.
He is expected to arrive in the Black Stars training camp in Ethiopia on Monday.
