Sumaila saves Turkish Club from relegation

Young Ghanaian striker Mohammed Sumaila has been hailed in Turkey as he has helped third tier side Ortaca Belediyspor to escape relation after joining them in less than three months.

Sumaila, 23, popularly known as Amando joined the relegation-bound side with twelve matches to end the season but his goal scoring prowess have succeeded in shooting the side out of the relegation zone with two matches to end the season.

Sumaila has scored in almost every game played for the side with five goals in eight matches.

His goal scoring accuracy and the energy with which he scores has earned him praises from his team mates as well as fans of the club.

The young Ghanaian goal machine joined the bottom club after a training grounds altercation with the coach of his former club Torbalispor.

He took a difficult decision after the incident to join the relegation-threatened side when his former side was gunning for the league title.

But Sumaila has succeeded in pushing the club from the relegation zone with indication of placing them in a better position looking at his goal scoring rate.

Ortaca is now two places up the relegation zone with three matches as they have an outstanding game to clear.
