Sunday's League matches pushed to next Wednesday

Accra, Sept 14, GNA - The Professional League Board (PLB) has pushed forward this Sunday's GT Premier League matches to Wednesday, September 20 to wait for the return of King Faisal, who are currently stranded in Rabat, Morocco.

A statement signed by Mr Addai Kyeremeh, Vice-Chairman of the PLB copied to the GNA Sports said the postponement has become necessary in view of the need to avoid further outstanding league matches at this crucial period of the league.

It said reports reaching the Ghana Football Association has it that King Faisal who last Saturday lost 2-1 to AS FAR of Morocco in their return leg second round Confederation Cup match are currently stranded in Rabat and would only be able to return to Ghana on Sunday, September 17.

The statement asked all participating clubs to take note of sudden change and express regret for any inconvenience caused by the sudden change.
