Sunyani club fall victim to yet another GFA executive committee member

Tano Bofoakwa went to Bechem and lost 3-0 to Bechem United in a Division One League match after being subjected to all kinds of psychological tricks at the hands of the home team. Before the game, Bofoakwa players had to take a group picture before they were allowed to play because somebody had stolen the players’ cards from the team manager's car which was parked around the stadium. It was a match at which even the match commissioner failed to appear.

Bechem United are handled by another GFA executive committee member, Kofi Zico and my analysis of Zone 1B of the Division One League proved that the clubs who are doing well in the aforementioned zone are all handled by GFA Executive committee members. Bechem lead the log followed by George Afriyie’s club Unity FC. They are using their power at the GFA in driving their clubs forward.

Football which should be fairly played and the performance of a club which ought to be on merit is not what we are witnessing in our Division One League. George Afriyie verbally attacked me on Asempa FM with this allegation that I gave false testimony against my dead father just because I have exposed what his influence did against B/A United at Hwidiem, http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/SportsArchive/artikel.php?ID=205034, which to me PJ Mosay being a so-called good presenter as a host allowed him to say this unfounded defamation pronounciation on me.

One thing that is killing our game is that, our leaders hate the truth. To them, the truth is bitter to swallow. If George Afriyie could boldly come out to tell the truth, l will challenge him, being a football follower as well as executive committee member of this renowned FA, to say that the second goal his club scored against B/A United at Hwidiem a goal? A goalkeeper was deliberately pushed on ground by a player, referee did not whistle foul and another player scoring because the goalkeeper was down injured, would you call this a goal whilst you and I know that goalkeeper must be protected in his goal area?

I support GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi in everything he is doing for Ghana football but it seems 100 percent of his performance is only based on the national teams. I would say if he wants our league to reach the good path that our national teams have reached, the system that allows Executive committee members at the GFA to own or manage a football club must be amended.

Their presence alone at stadium influences referees’ decisions and all kind of mafia things and corruption is their hallmark in our league.
