Prominent Ghanaian FIFA intermediary (agent) Oliver Arthur is mourning the death of his father, Joseph Arthur.
Mr. Arthur died on Saturday morning at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra following a short illness at age 83.
He was Director of Akyempim Automobile and a former Engineer at Ghana Oil Company (GOIL).
Oliver etched his name in Ghana’s football folklore after the transfer of over a score of footballers to Italy including Black Stars duo Richmond Boakye-Yiadom (Atalanta) and Afriyie Acquah (Torino).
Other players in his books are Godfred Donsah (Cagliari), Evans Osei (Torino), Bright Addae (Ascoli) and Alimeyaw Salifu (Latina) just to mention a few.
He recently relocated to Italy with his family to achieve his dream of becoming a global football agent.
Oliver’s younger brother Roy recently parted ways with Ghana Premier League side BA United as Chief Executive.
