Alexander Kotey, the referee's manager for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has detailed the association's plans for suspended referees.

He stated that any referee currently under suspension would be required to complete training conducted by Regional Fitness Instructors before being eligible to officiate matches in the upcoming season.

"Referees who are serving suspensions will undergo training by our Regional Fitness Instructors before they return to officiate matches," Alexander Kotey mentioned during an interview with the Ghana FA media team.

Addressing concerns about the competence and integrity of Ghanaian referees, the GFA Referees Manager affirmed their credibility.

"It is not true that Ghanaian referees are not good enough and lack integrity. We have Match Officials whose levels of integrity are very high," he clarified.

Furthermore, Alex Kotey revealed that the association is actively seeking opportunities for Ghanaian referees to participate in international training to enhance their skills.

"We are building the capacities of our referees. We are looking for more opportunities to take our referees on international training courses," he added, highlighting the GFA's commitment to improving officiating standards.
