Andre Ayew's coach at Swansea City Garry Monk has pleaded with Ghana coach Avram Grant to go easy on playmaker by not pushing too much in the Black Stars two back-to-back from World Cup qualifiersover the next five days.
Ghana travel on a punishing schedule for the qualifier to Southern African country on Friday before returning to their West African country four days later for the return leg of the qualifier for the tournament in Russia.
This means Andre Ayew will return to his club for training by Friday, just 24 hours before their Premier League match against Bournemouth.
Monk is currently without nine senior players because of international commitments, meaning he is working with a skeleton squad ahead of next week's key Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
Of those who are absent, Ki Sung-Yueng, Jefferson Montero, Andre Ayew and Kristoffer Nordfeldt are all preparing for competitive fixtures which take place over the next five days.
Monk says he is unlikely to speak to any international coaches this week, but he hopes they will consider the workload some of his regulars have faced this season when they pick teams for what are fairly insignificant games.
"The other side is the international managers have a job to do and they probably won't want to listen to a club manager," Monk conceded, "but all you ask for is some common sense.
"You would love for them to not play at all and have a little break, but it doesn't work like that.
"I would make contact with an international manager if my player had an injury problem.
"My players are fit and well, but I just hope the managers use common sense."
The various international commitments mean Monk will have only a day or two to prepare for Bournemouth with his full squad.
