TT Brothers fetes medal winners

Accra, Oct 24, GNA - TT Brothers Company Limited, distributors of Maracuja drinks, on Friday held a reception for all the medal winners of the just ended 8th edition of the All African Games held in Abuja, Nigeria.

The reception, which was held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel and attended by the medallists and their officials, is aimed at congratulating the athletes who made the nation proud at games with 23 medals.

Mr Isaac Tetteh, Managing Director of the company, said the gesture is in recognition of what he described as an overwhelming performance by the nation at the Games.

Mr. Tetteh who on behalf of his company presented products of the company to each athlete said his outfit was in serious discussion with its partners in South Africa to see how best to assist Ghanaian sportsmen and women to continue their professional careers in South Africa in future.

He promised the national U-23 team, the Black Meteors who are billed to meet the Amagluglug of South Africa in the Olympic games qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium a special package if they emerged victorious.

Mr Tetteh therefore urged them to remain committed, dedicated and purposeful in order to continue raising high the flag of Ghana.

Mr Rashid Bawa Minister of State in charge of Education, Youth and Sports said the nation is proud of the achievement of the entire contingent and thanked the company for their gesture.

He said there is a new spirit blowing in the country's sports and called for its sustenance.

"Everyone present here must work hard towards the sustainability of this spirit in our quest to build upon the Abuja glory" he stressed. The Minister who was the leader of the country's delegation in Abuja said the government was committed to ensuring that the foundation laid is developed to an appreciable standard.
