Emmanuel 'Game Boy' Tagoe's world title chase continues with no abatement next month when the Ghanaian showman makes a first defence of his WBA International Lightweight title against South African, Sipho 'Tsunami' Taliwe in Johannesburg.

Allsports.com.gh can exclusively confirm that Tagoe (24-1, 11 KOs) who was scheduled to fight Argentina's Jose Saez in London this October 23, will now face the 34 year old Taliwe (22-4-1, 15 KOs) who previously held the WBC International Junior Lightweight title in South Africa on November 13.

Tagoe who has won 24 straight career fights since losing his first professional fight 11 years ago, will defend the WBA title he won back in April this year with a dominating round 4 TKO stoppage of Filipino boxer. Joebert Reyes at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The boxer currently rated number 9 Lightweight in world boxing by the WBA is chasing a victory his Babyjet Promotions management led by Ghana national football team captain, Asamoah Gyan hope would improve his position in the ratings and put him in line for a possible world title eliminator next year.

"I'm excited and prepared for another opportunity to showcase my skills in the ring. Definitely it won't be easy but I'm always prepared and ready," Tagoe told Allsports.com.gh exclusively.

"I want to tell my fans to keep on supporting me with their prayers, they know what I can do and surely we are going for victory again as we move closer to winning the world title," Game Boy added.
