Takoradi Ghatel Ladies beat Cape Coast counterparts

Cape Coast, Feb. 5, GNA - Takoradi Ghatel Ladies beat their counterparts, Cape Coast Ghatel Ladies 4-2 in the Central/Western Regions Women's league match played at Robert Mensah Stadium on Sunday.

Ironically it was the home side who scored the opener in the 10th minute through their midfielder, Agnes Dadson, but the cheers had hardly died down when a minute later, centre half Rosina Dede leveled up the scores for the visitors.

Inspired by the equalizer, the Takoradi Ghatel Ladies continued to probe for more goals and it came as no surprise when right winger, Anita Amankwa and inside right Akyea Florence scored in the 35th and 40th minutes to end the first half in their favour. The Cape Coast Ladies resumed the second half a bruised side and strongly attacked from all angles to reduce the goal tally in the 60th minute through Agnes Dadson.

Their hopes of leveling up the scores were however shattered when Rosina Dede who played a yeoman's game was on target again to seal the doom of the home side to bring the final scores to 4-2.
