An Accra high court has adjourned to Thursday, a hearing in which Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club is asking it to restrain the Ghana Football Association (GFA) from effecting the registration of Charles Taylor to any other club.

A source at the Cocoa Affairs court told the GNA Sports on Wednesday that the judge, Mrs Justice Agyemang Bempa, was sitting on another case at the Accra Fast Track Court and was also scheduled for a judicial meeting later on Wednesday hence could not be available for the hearing. Hearts filed a writ on Tuesday praying the court to stop the GFA from registration Taylor to any other club.

Hundreds of supporters of Hearts stormed the court premises chanting war songs and calling for the blood of Emmanuel Owusu Ansah, Vice Chairman of the GFA who is also the Judicial Secretary.

Owusu Ansah is alleged to have influenced the choosing of Mrs Bempa to sit on the case and subsequently giving out her name instead of allowing the Registrar of the Judiciary to choose a judge to hear it. Hearts are said to have petitioned the Chief Justice over the conduct of the Mr Owusu Ansah.

In their petition, the club maintained that they have sufficient evidence to the effect that the Judicial Secretary usurped the role of the Court's Registrar in referring the case to Justice Bempa Charles Taylor said he was no longer interested in playing for Hearts after renewing a three contract. The player said he prefers to play for rivals Kotoko and has since being training with them.

The GFA after conferring with FIFA fined both Kotoko and the player 200 million cedis and 650 million cedis respectively, after which the player was free to join Kotoko.

This, Hearts objected to and has decided to contest the case at the law court.

An official of Hearts told the GNA sports later that the two clubs met on Tuesday evening to agree on a transfer fee but could not reach a compromise.

They are schedule to meet today, Wednesday, the outcome of which could determine whether or not the court case would be withdrawn.
