Ghana Premier League side Techiman XI Wonders may have to look elsewhere to honour their home matches in the Ghanaian top-flight as the refurbished Ohene Ameyaw Park risk shut down over possible court action.

According to Prince Amankwaah, who is head of Amasco Engineering Company Ltd, his outfit is considering heading to the law court to force the Techiman Municipal Assembly to respect their contractual obligations.

Amankwaah told Sunyani-based Nimdi3 FM that the Assembly headed by Hon. John Donyina has relented on their contractual obligations to settle him his USD22,000 after the completion of the contract after several months.

“We signed a contractual agreement before I went to site to begin work and in it, it was indicated the various payment periods but they have failed to honour their obligations in the agreement,” he told Richard Ntow Gyan on the Total Sports Show.

“It has been a game of dilly-dally play. He [Hon John Donyina] promised to make payments in January but he has failed to honour his words. They have promised to settle the amount involved by end of February 2020 and if they fail to do that I would head to court and ask for my money whichever way even if it involves shutting down the facility until I’m paid,” he added.

The Ohene Ameyaw Park has been hosting Ghana Premier League matches since the start of the 2019/20 league season.
