Techiman Eleven Wonders striker Alex Asamoah says he is eyeing a Black Stars call up following his man of the match performance in the Ghana Premier League opener against Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

The former Ghana Premier League goal king is bent on winning the accolade again, but reveals his biggest ambition is to don the Black Stars jersey.

Alex Asamoah scored as the new comers held Accra Hearts of Oak in Techiman, to cancel Winful Cobinna's early lead.

After leaving Kotoko to ply his trade in Burkina Faso, the strong forward is back and was named man of the match in the 1-1 draw against Accra Hearts of Oak.

Asamoah said after the game in a post match interview," Football is not about talking, I said earlier I'm back to score goals and thanks to God I scored against Hearts. I am praying and working hard to earn a call up into the local Black Stars or the senior national team roper because I can play."

The former Kotoko attacker also added he has targeted the goal king accolade. The 32 year old won the goalden boot in the past and believes if he continues with his fine form, he will win it again.

"By the time the league ends and if I am still around and haven't traveled, as for the goal king I will win it."

'For me Alex Asamoah "Makwekwe", God willing the goal king will be mine and I insists by God's will."

Techiman Eleven Wonders are playing in their maiden Ghana Premier League season and a draw against Accra Hearts of Oak is a perfect results for an opening day game for the new comers.
