Tema Youth In Pole Position Over Kofi Abanga

Aduana Stars’ mercurial Skipper and midfielder, Kofi Abanga, one of the most promising youngsters in the country at the moment is thought to be getting closer to joining Tema Youth, contrary to media speculations that both Hearts and Kotoko are interested.

Space Fm understands the Tema-based Club are in an advanced stage of negotiations with Mr.Kingsley Osei-Bonsu (aka ZICO), CEO of Aduana FC, to secure the release of the player.

When Space FM contacted Mr. Osei-Bonsu, he confirmed various Clubs have expressed interest in his Skipper, but failed to name which Club was in pole position to secure the signature of a player he calls (HIS SON), although he mentioned that Kotoko, Hearts and Tema Youth remain the most serious contenders.

According to Zico, Kofi Abanga is not just a footballer, but a very special boy, with a very positive attitude, which makes him different from other players.” It’ll be sad to lose him but for the sake of his career, he deserves to move on, Zico told Space FM. He continued” I’ve been in football for a long time, but I haven’t come across any footballer with such talent and at the same time so sober”

Meanwhile, a source close to the Chief executive of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr.Sylvester Owusu Asare has promised followers of the Club that Abanga would definitely feature for the Porcupine Warriors, come next season. According to the source, they expect a deal to be struck by weekend between Kotoko and Aduana Stars.
