Tema Youth has qualified to play in the Premier League promotional playoffs after crashing Danbort FC 5-1 on the final day in the Division One League.
Youth – who were relegated from the Ghanaian top flight after last season – progressed from Zone 3B at the Tema Park on Wednesday.
This means the Tema-based side qualifies as Zone 3B winners having amassed 26 points.
Fellow ex-Premier League campaigners Okwawu United clinched the zone’s other qualification slot despite losing 4-0 to King Solomon.
Elsewhere, Real Tamale United booked their place in the promotional playoffs despite losing to Guan United who also qualified from Zone 1A while a protest case ensured that no matches were played in Zone 1B.
Dunkwa United have already sealed qualification in Zone 2A after beating Starke FC 2-1 but the other qualification slot in the zone remains undecided due to a protest.
Fetteh Feyenoord qualified as group winners in Zone 2B with a 3-1 win over Elimina Sharks with XI Wise coming through as runners up with a win over Metro Stars.
Great Olympics and Istanbul FC had already clinched qualification in Zone 3A though yet to play their final matches.
