Tema Youth to Crush Kotoko

Harbour boys Tema Youth aims to crush defending league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Tema Community 3 Park as the Glo Premier League enters week eight.

Last season the two clubs settled for a 1 – 1 drawn game at the same venue on match day one but Tema Youth thinks they’ve gain the necessary experience and confidence to outwit the Porcupine Warriors this time around.

The two teams are one point apart with Kotoko holding the sixth spot on the table with 11 points whiles Tema Youth is on the eighth position with 10 points. Kotoko may boast of an array of stars but the harbour boys are technically and tactically astute to cause mayhem to any side that knocks their door untimely.

For Kotoko to survive at Tema coach Didi Dramani needs to prevent Moses Ojaer and Francis Narh from having a good meal because these two young boys can be dangerous as a full battalion on duty.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, crawling Hearts of Oak will play as host to city rivals Liberty Professionals. The phobians have climbed to tenth on the ladder with 8 points whiles Liberty is fifth with 12 points. The former continental club masters travelled to the garden city last Sunday to crumble the one legged hope of Kotoko to avenging the 4 – 0 defeat they suffered from Hearts in the 2001/2002 season and a win over Liberty will further boost their morale.

On Saturday, Aduana Stars will welcome Kpando Hearts of Lions to the Dormaa Park. Aduana is third on the log with 12 points whiles Lions are ninth with 9 points.

The Dormaa Park has been the god of Aduana and if the gods speaks then Aduana will certainly pick the three points but if they fail then Heart of Lions can share the spoils.

Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs will engage first placed Berekum Chelsea at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Stadium. Dwarfs are seventh on the table with 11 points whiles Chelsea is at the summit with 14 points.

Chelsea have all the materials they need to do the job at their disposal but playing Dwarfs at the Robert Mensah Stadium is as difficult as fighting the lion in it den.

At the Tarkwa T&A Park, Medeama Sporting Club will entertain new entrant Amidaus Professionals. Medeama is occupying the second spot with 13 points whiles Amidaus is eleventh with 8 points. Berekum Arsenals will welcome soccer miners, Ashantigold at the Golden City Park. Arsenals are bottom on the table with just 3 points whiles Ashantigold is fourth with 12 points.

At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Alhaji Grunsah’s King Faisal will play as host to Wa All Stars. Faisal is twelfth on the table with 7 points whiles the visitors are fourteenth with 6 points.

However, New Edubiase United welcome Real Tamale United to their favourite Nana Gyamfi Park in Bekwai. R T U has not been good away performers and Edubiase will certainly take advantage of their week away performance.

The visitors are fifteenth on the log with 4 points whiles Edubiase on the other hand is thirteenth with 7 points.
