Tema children benefit from ongoing denkyem soccer clinic.

In its quest to rid the society of social vices such as armed robbery, prostitution, drug addiction, poverty ect, Denkyem charitable foundation, the U.S.A based Non Governmental Organization (N.G.O) supported by Denkyem sports Academy, with its affiliate in Ghana, precisely Tema, has been organizing soccer clinics in the Tema municipality to enable kids who have interest in the sport to enhance their skill.

The children from community 2 and 5 and other surrounding areas were taken through the drills during the weekend by the organization’s trained physical instructors and volunteer coaches in basic techniques like passing, dribbling heading, shooting etc in soccer.

They were also presented with soccer kits like boots, jerseys, pants, hoses, shin guards, soccer balls etc.

Denkyem Charitable Foundation for a couple years now has been guiding the youth in Tema and beyond in the area of sports eg. Basketball, hockey, netball, and also has branches in other African countries like Kenya and Nigeria.

The organization also teaches the kids good morals based on Christian principles and values, and occasionally donate used clothing, food and hospital equipments to various organizations like schools, hospital etc.

There is also a scheme to recruit talented kids in sports to colleges and high schools in the United States of America on scholarship.
