The "Boxing Attorney" Mr .Eric Darko !!!

Emmanuel Lartie - Lartey another Bukum Boxing kid is creating a fabulous name for himself in the highly rated in Boxing light welterweight division . In his most recent fight in the United States he showed no mercy to his Massachusetts based Puerto Rican opponent Joey Ortega . With series of jabs and masterful artistry Emmanuel knocked outOrtega in the 2ND round in the 6 rounds bout. The Ghana boxer proved beyond reasonable doubt that he was determined to reach the highest level in his boxing career.

With his manager Attorney Eric Okere Darko, trainer Carl Lokko and his American special handler James Hogan at his side the Ghanaian boxer "The Bukom Jah" as he is affectionate called entered the boxing ring in the Charlotte - North Carolina Sports Complex to do what he knows

best . he was cheered with and some songs , traditional drumming and dancing by the excited Ghanaian supporterwho thronged the sports complex to offer their support during the warm up fight.

"I was inactive for the past one year 3 months(15 months) due the lack of management and other boxing logistics, but I can now say with confidence that , by the Grace of the Almighty Lord I am now in the hands of a very good management and

tactical handler" Lartie - Lartey said with joy.

Lartey who was a former captain of the Black Bombers for 3 years and also a former

African Boxing Union (ABU)Champion of the light welterweight division also has an

impressive records 6 knockouts,1 draw and 5 on points out of his 12 professional

fights.

This is what his trainer Mr Lokko had to say about his ward " The Bukum Jah" is respectful, hard working, serious about his carrier,God fearing, fights well,

power puncher,toe - to -toe fighter ,a south path, with skills and a potential world champoin, his is one of the best boxers that I have been handled and it is my prayer that, he reaches the top of ladder of boxing fraternity."

Mr Eric Darko the manager of the boxer last week Friday did sign a 5 year contract with Lartey at the office of the Commissioner of Boxing in New York and

that really indicates that, both of them are into business.

" Back home in Ghana, whilst I was working with my uncle at his hotel in Accra -

Asylum Down hotel I had the opportunity to meet some boxers who come to lodge there from time to time and one of the boxers was George Bocco from Bennin and i used

to join them to the Accra Sports Staduim during their fights" Mr Darko noted.

Since then, I got as a boxing manager and I have 4 boxers on my card including the young boxer Lartie - Lartey.

" Wonder Tackie a great boxer from Ghana one day, walked into my office and asked

me to manage him, since he had heard my name from some of his colleague's notably " Bukom Banku" about how I have been taken good care of them, whenever

they came to USA to fight" the Boxer Attorney noted.

In an exclusively interview with this freelance Journalist , who is the Public Relations Officer of the Attorney Eric Darko's boxing management disclosed these

,after signing the contract, "I have a good relationship with the President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) Mr Sammy Captain, Azuma Nelson - the boxing legend, Mr Yoofi Boahen who is a boxing magnet,and the management of Golden Mike

Promotions in Ghana,"

As a legal adviser, i always makes sure that i gives the best advice to boxers who comes under my management,on their social life so that, they can contribute to the development of Ghana and to their people.

" I am a practicing attorney in the USA and due to that, I strive to use the law

to protect them, urge them to go to school in order for them to acquire some knowledge,and also to sign a very good contract for themselves" Attorney Darko said
