Former Black Stars defender Joe Addo revealed that the main problem during his time as a Black Stars player was the administrators of the team.
The 48 year old featured for the national team from 1990-2000 where he attained a silver medal in the 1992 AFCON and helped the team to fourth place in the 1996 edition.
In an interview on Joy FM, Addo revealed how poorly they were treated by the administrators of the Black Stars at that time.
“Our major problem were our administrators. They made a lot of promises that they did not fulfill. When we were in camp, the sports minister and GFA president and the likes used to come to camp and promise us money if we win particular games but the money never came."
"Those times when we were coming to Ghana from abroad, we paid our own tickets. They used to tell us to come and they will reimburse us but they never gave us that money.”
