Angry fans of Ivorian side Fc San Pedro are crying foul that Kumasi Asante Kotoko cheated them in their 1 nil victory in the first leg encounter in the Caf Confederations Cup play off.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko won a late penalty in the game which appeared to be heading for a stalemate in the 96th minute after the South African referee Eugene Nkosinathi Mdluli adjudged that Sogne Yacouba had been tripped in the penalty box.
This generated a lot of confusion and protestation from the San Pedro bench and officials who threatened at a point to boycott the game all together.
The Ivorian side upon reaching home have told their fans about an apparent cheat and harassment from Kotoko
In an interview in french granted by a said supporter of San Pedro Fc to Accra based Angel Fm, they threatened to retaliate Kotoko's harassment.
"They awarded a fake penalty against us, we are telling Kotoko not to think of coming for the return leg and for what concern football, we know that we are going to beat them, we are going to harass them, beat them and injure them"
Following the defeat, San Pedro players attacked the South African referee Eugene Nkosinathi Mdluli and Kotoko’s Guinean striker Naby Keita.
