Win or lose, the three will get medals and it is only the type of medals they will get that will be determined through their performances in subsequent fights.
Manyo Plange ensured he got to the zone with a comprehensive 17-11 win over Muntoui Japhet of Namibia in the 48 kg (flyweight) class, while Issa Samir
bombed Manjala Imanuel, 23-10 in the 54kg division. The other winner was Bastir Samir, elder brother of Issa, who recorded a 24-14 verdict over Tanzanian, Mwaisalage Joseph in the 69kg class.
Emmanuel Danso however failed to join the winning band wagon as he lost by an incredible 0-20 decision to his Nigerian opponent. Ghana could add to the number of medallists later on Wednesday evening when Ahmed Saraku engages Burkinabe, Maurice Rapatamaba in a late quarter final duel. GNA
