Three Clubs After Appiah

According to Skysports.com three Champions League clubs are chasing Fenerbahce's Stephen Appiah.

Two of the interested clubs are believed to be British with the other suitors coming from Italy.

Appiah is thought to be considering his future at Fenerbahce and is ready to move on for a new challenge.

The all-action midfielder is highly-regarded throughout Europe after a successful spell in Italy before his move to Fenerbahce.

Appiah, who impressed in last summer's World Cup finals with Ghana, has never hidden his ambition to play in Britain some day.

Arsenal have held a long-term interest in the former Juventus man and they could rekindle their interest in Appiah this summer as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for the Premiership.

Scottish champions Celtic are also thought to be on Appiah's trail with Gordon Strachan an admirer of the midfield dynamo.

Strachan is in the market for a new midfielder with Neil Lennon leaving and he revealed he is keen to bring in high-profile signings to boost his squad for next season.
