Three Ghanaian referees have been invited to officiate in next month’s WAFU Women’s Championship. They are centre referees Theresa Bremansu and Joyce Appiah Ohenewaa and Assistant Referee Beatrice Thaud.
The maiden edition of the WAFU Women’s competition will be held in Cote d’Ivoire between the 14th and 28th February, 2018.
The three FIFA referees had their badges this year and are ready to officiate in what will come as their first ever international tournament.
Eight countries namely Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Niger will compete in Group ‘A’ whereas Group B has Togo, Nigeria, Senegal and Benin.
