The Black Stars of Ghana will face Group I minnows Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Central African side and the West African football powerhouse.
Chad are one of the lowest-ranked teams in the group and have lost all their games in the qualifiers so far, leaving them at the bottom of the table.
The Les Sao have conceded nine goals in four games and managed to score just one, with a goal difference of -8.
They have gone almost a year without a win, with their last victory coming on March 26, 2024, when they defeated Mauritius 2-1.
The Central African side have won only three games in the past six years, with two of those victories coming in 2024, both against Mauritius.
Overall, Chad have played 31 matches in the last six years, losing 20, winning three, and drawing eight.
Despite their poor record, Les Sao are determined to defy the odds and upset Ghana, who have also struggled in recent years.
