Mr. Zakkour, popularly known in football circles as ‘Millennium Chairman’ made these observations after news broke out that Gerald Nii Adjabeng Ankrah, Managing Director of the club has resigned from his position on Monday.

Speaking to Happy FM, Harry Zakkour further remarked that Togbe Afede is running the club haphazardly despite being the majority shareholder of the club.

“Togbe is playing with the club like a toy bought from a supermarket and he expects us to sit down and let this club fade away, okay, I'm fine. I have spent billions of cedis on Hearts of Oak and I never declared anything in the club. He is the majority shareholder in the club and he calls the shots but I can confidently say that things are being done haphazardly in the club due to Togbe's inability to differentiate between his left from his right." Harry bemoaned.

Mr. Zakkour, who led Accra Hearts of Oak to their first continental trophy in 2000 argued strongly that the persistent changing of management members and technical staff will only add to the woes of Hearts of Oak.

"People are sitting on the fence watching him. I quite remember telling him to invite the old directors to help in running the club but he never gave us the opportunity to meet him. Changing of management team technical directors won't solves Hearts' problems. If the right measures are not put in place, you cannot achieve your aim. You always have to start from somewhere," Zakkour fumed.

He continued by saying that," me, Alhaji Hearts, Stephen Akwetey, T.T Brothers and Nii Ayibonte had to come on board and help when the team was heading to the relegation abyss and look at what's happening today."

In the last six years, Hearts of Oak have had Commodore Mensah, Fred Crentsil and Neil Armstrong Mutagbe, but results on the field of play have not been forth coming and the club had to survive from the relegation doldrums by the intervention of some of the old management members.
