Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak Togbe Afede XIV has released a whopping sum of $100,000 for the club’s recruitment, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The Board Chairman, according to a grapevine source was reluctant in releasing funds for the purchase of players lined up by the club’s recruitment with the local transfer window nearing a closure.
The source further added that Togbe Afede had complained that he had spent huge sums of monies on the club with no results.
But the formation of the five-member Strategic Committee to be led by former Chairman of the club Sowah-Odotei, appears to have assured the Board Chairman who has released $100,000 for the recruitment of top players.
Five top players targeted include former Black Stars goalkeeper Daniel Agyei as well as other top players who initially swerved the Phobians.
These top players according the source have already been contacted and negotiations are far advanced.
The decision is to get crowd pullers to augment last season squad.
