Top 50 Clubs in Africa ranked; Hearts out, Kotoko make list

Football is the most popular sports in Africa, but who are the best football clubs in African right now.

Unfortunately, no Ghanaian club was found in the top 10 of the African club ranking, according to Eurotopteams.com system.

The highest-ranked Ghanaian side is Asante Kotoko, who are in 38th on the list after going down three places from the last updated ranking. The Porcupines are followed by AshantiGold, ranked 152nd. Medeama and Aduana Stars are in the 188th and 200th positions respectively.

Hearts of Oak find themselves on 213th position following their lack of competitive football in the African club competitions since 2015 with Bechem United and New Edubiase United languishing on the 373rd and 431st positions respectively.

NOTE:

The ranking was done based on the results in the CAFCL/CAFCC and updated over the matches from the second round by a system of increasing points each season since 2009. Last updated 29th September 2019.
