Roma captain Francesco Totti says the Italian club?s new Ghanaian signing Samuel Osei Kuffour is set for an ?outstanding season?.
Totti has praised the performances of the 29-year-old former Black Stars captain, who missed Ghana?s World Cup qualifying campaign this year after a fall out with coach Ratomir Dujkovic.
?We have already seen a new AS Roma this season,? said Totti. ?Kuffour is fundamental to our performances and is going to make a major difference.?
The former world under-17 champion left German champions Bayern Munich on a free transfer at the end of last season to join the Serie A club, who also signed the Democratic Republic of Congo captain Shabani Nonda from French side Monaco.
Kuffour has already been described by Italian newspapers as the ?new Aldair?, a reference to the much loved ex-Brazilian World Cup winner who spent 13 seasons at Roma.
?This team and this town are just the change I have needed,? Kuffour told reporters this week.
