Turkish side Trabzonspor are looking to snap up Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey in the January transfer window.

The Ghanaian defender since his recovery from a long term injury has lost his place in the Leicester City team and is weighing his options at the club.

Amartey is yet to feature for the Foxes in any competition this term and manager Brendan Rodgers has shown clearly that he does not count on the versatile Ghanaian player.

Trabzonspor have been long term admirers of the 24 year old player and it appears this is the right time to get their man as the Foxes are keen to cut their loses on the Ghanaian.

One thing Trabzonspor may use in their favour is the presence of Amartey's compatriot Caleb Ekuban at the club.

He may put a word in the ears of his compatriot to link up with him in Turkey.
