Trust Bank supports U-18 Tennis Championship

Accra, Dec 14, GNA - The Trust Bank Ghana Limited in conjunction with the Ghana Tennis Association (GTA) will on Monday, December 18, organise an Under-18 boys and girls Lawn Tennis Championship scheduled for the Accra Lawn Tennis Club.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicates that the championship will bring together tennis players from the Greater Accra and Central Regions to participate in the fierce competition, which is expected to feature a cream of the best young players from the two regions.

The round robin championship which is aimed at shaping up the juvenile players for the future will see sensational players like Winneba-based trio of Emma Cudjoe, Mariama Amidu and Abigail Opoku Mensah testing their strength against the Accra based players. Ever-improving Antoinette Cruickshank would lead the Accra team made up of Kate Coleman and Sarah to plunge into the four-day tennis fiesta. In the boys division, tennis fans are expected to see the likes of young and upcoming stars like Emmanuel Mensah, Owusu Manford, Michael Nortey, Robert Kpodo, Albert Arthur, Raymond Hayford, Eric Nartey and Eugene Hammond pitching their strength against each other.
