Turning the refuse dump to a modern boxing gym

Andrew Martey Commodore is a barber who has practiced his profession for over 20 years and trained his two sons to follow his trade.
But the Mamprobi based male hair dresser wants to go into boxing, though he had never boxed before in his life, but passion wants to lead him to fame.
After befriending a boxer at Chorkor, named Madingo, who just returned from the United States, Andrew, a lover of martial arts decided to become a boxing coach and planned to turn a refuse dump into a gym.
So one day, he just stood up from his home and went to the dump to clear the place, he was fortunate to gain some attraction and some friends decided to support by donating bags of cement to get the sports infrastructure in place.
Many people criticized the project when it began because it was near a public toilet and a refuse dump, but now the local authorities are fighting him over the small piece of land.
According to Commodore, he just wanted to contribute to the development and promotion of boxing since the area he stays is noted for producing world class boxing champions, like Professor Azumah Nelson, Ebo Danquah, Ike Quartey, Alfred Kotey and others who had made the nation, Ghana proud.
