Two Teams to Represent Africa In Helsinki

The 29th edition of Helsinki Cup kicks off next month with two teams from Africa expected to attend.

The competition meant for Under-19 youths is expected to start on the 4th of June will end on the 10th of June 2004 in the capital of Finland, Helsinki.

The purpose of the competition is to discover talents and also to assist football development in Africa. Two clubs will be representing Africa in the competition, they are the Sports Network of Nigeria and Supreme football club of Ghana.

This is the second time Sports Network will be representing the country in the competition, they were there two years ago. Some of the notable players that had participated in the competition in the past include Pius Ikedia, Emmanuel Osuagha and Henry Oghene.

The African teams will be playing with top European youth club sides like AC Milan and Ajax.
