Two Ugandan players out of Ghana clash

ASSISTANT Cranes? skipper David Obua and left back Nestroy Kizito will miss the World/Nations Cup qualifier away to Ghana due to suspension, writes Sabiiti Muwanga.

The two received a second yellow card each in the home match against Cape Verde last month, implying that they can not play in the next game. The two countries meet in the return leg on September 4 in Accra. The first at Namboole ended 1-1 with Obua?s header giving the Cranes a 1-0 half time lead. Cranes technical committee chairman Sam Tamale confirmed that they had received communication from FIFA informing them about the ineligibility of Obua and Kizito for the next game.

He disclosed that a mix-up of shirt numbers led to skipper Ibrahim Sekagya missing the match against Cape Verde. He said Simeon Masaaba and not Sekagya was to miss the match Uganda won 1-0.
