Two boxers for 4-week training camp in Canada

The burgeoning careers of two Ghanaian boxers have received a massive boost with their impending trip to Canada for a 4-week training camp aimed at honing their skills.

Lightweight Thomas Okaidjah Aryeetey and Light Heavyweight Charles Fianu have been invited by Canada based Angel Face Management Inc. as part of a 4-man Forleson Boxing Management team to train with the HUF Gym located at 1640 Crestview Ave. Mississauga Ontario, L5G 3P9 and box competively whilst there.

To be accompanied by Forleson Boxing General Manager and Team Leader Francis Korley Botchway and trainer Daniel Ansah, the boxers are expected to depart Accra for the training trip by the end of this month based on visa acquisition success.

When in Canada, they will be staying at Canada's Best Value Inn located at 650 Evans Ave, Etobicoke, ON M8W 2W6, and be transported to and from the airport, the gym and the match by President of Angel Face Management.

"The four week training camp will include various drills and sparring within the HUF Gym and will conclude with a competitive match for the two boxers. This camp will serve as a great opportunity for both boxers to gain international experience.

"We hope to host this training camp anytime between January and May, dependant on when their visa will be granted," wrote Olga Rosa Heron, Matchmaker of Angel Face Management in their invitation letter to the two Ghanaian boxers.

The importance of the trip is not lost on 29 year old Charles Fianu who can't wait. "Definitely it's a big big step for my career because the gyms and the training conditions there certainly will help us improve. I'm going to be obedient and hardworking so I can learn a lot," Fianu told ALL SPORTS.
