U-20 World Cup: Black Satellites arrive in Egypt

Ghana's Black Satellites have arrived in Ismaili, Egypt ahead of their opening game in the World Youth Championships against Uzbekistan.

The reigning African champions jetted into Cairo from their training base in Tunis and will hold their first training session on Wednesday evening.

Sellas Tetteh now has all but one of his players in camp for a tournament certain to grip the attention of the nation once it kicks off on Thursday.

The competition in Egypt is the fifth time Ghana is participating in the World Youth Championships. In four previous appearances, Ghana has reached the final twice in 1993 and 2001, the semi finals once in 1997 and the quarter finals in 1999.

Tetteh and his players therefore have a lot to live up to and they will try to emulate previous teams with the whole nation watching.

Three of Ghana's biggest television stations, GTV, TV3 Network and Metro TV will all show the games live.
