Ghana and seven other countries will discover their opponents for the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in the final tournament draw on October 3.
The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has confirmed the Haramlek Palace of the historical Montaza Complex in the Egyptian city of Alexandria to host the draw at 17H00 local time (15H00 GMT).
Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side will be making a first-time appearance at the tournament after missing the last two editions in 2011 and 2015.
Ghana joins hosts Egypt, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, South Africa, Zambia and defending champions Nigeria for the draw.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off between November 8 to 22 and will serve as the qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Games to be held in Japan. The top three finishers head to Tokyo.
The Egyptian capital, Cairo will host all games with matches at the Cairo International Stadium and Al Salam Stadium.
