Ghana’s U20 side the Black Satellites were not only disappointed over their inability to qualify for the 2017 U20 Afcon following their 3-2 aggregate loss to the Young Lions of Terrenga but also due to the way they were treated after the game.

GHANAsoccernet.com has gathered that players of the national U20 side were given GHc600 each as their camping allowance for staying with the team for the seven-month period they spent there.

Members of the technical team were given GHc900 each, GHc300 more than the amount giving to the players.

This means that each player was given GHc86.00 a month and GHc2.00 a day for the seven-month they spent in the camp of the national team.

Sources close to the U20 side revealed that the Management Committee Chairman of the Satellites Alhaji Sadugu had to engage the Ministry of Youth and Sports for close to a month before securing the said amount for the team.

Ghana lost the first leg of the game by 3-1 to the Senegalese in Dakar a fortnight ago before winning the second leg by a lone goal in Cape Coast on Friday.

The players will leave for their various clubs on Saturday.
