Udinese, Sevilla after Odjer

Spanish giants Sevilla and Italian Serie A outfit Udinese are on the heels of Ghanaian teenager Moses Odjer for a possible signing this summer.

According to 90 Minutes, the diminutive midfielder caught the attention of scouts of the Stadio Friuli side and the two-time Uefa Cup Winners during his impressive outing for the Black Satellites in the just ended Africa Under-20 Championship in Algeria.

Odjer, 17, is expected to leave for Europe soon as both sides have contacted Tema Youth for his release when the Ghana Glo Premiership season ends.

Udinese may as well gain the upper hand in signing the player looking at their relationship with Ghana sides and how they groomed Ghanaian players such as Mohammed Gargo, Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah, Rabiu Mohammed and now Agyemang-Badu.

Despite Tema Youth's poor run in this season's Ghana top flight which has seen them wallowing in the relegation zone, Odjer has been a gem and one of the best players in the entire league so far and will be gunning for the young player of the season accolade.
