Udinese manager Luigi De Canio is patiently awaiting fitness report from his medical team to include Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu in his squad for the Serie A clash with Sampdoria on Sunday.
The 25-year-old midfield workhorse picked a knock in the 3-1 victory over Napoli and only returned to training on Thursday after being sidelined from the beginning of the week.
Badu trained away from the main squad under the guide of a physician on Thursday and Friday, and the manager is counting on his availability for the Sampdoria clash.
The powerful midfielder played a crucial role for the Little Zebras in their victory over Napoli after the international break, including winning a penalty which was converted by Portuguese youngster Bruno Fernandes.
Badu has scored four (4) Serie A goal in 27 appearances, the highest made by any Ghanaian international in the Italian top-flight this season.
He has also scored more goals than any Ghanaian player in the Italian top-flight.
