Unilever golf on June 14

The annual Unilever Ghana Limited Golf championship would be played at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, June 14.

Mr Sammuel Adetola, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club said in Accra on Tuesday, that the one-day 18-hole stableford competition opened to amateur and professional golfers from Achimota, Tema and Celebrity Golf Clubs, as well as invited players of Unilever, is expected to attract more than 120 golfers.

He announced that entry qualification in the Men's event is Handicap 18, while that of the Ladies is Handicap 27.

Eric Henaku of Tema Golf Club, who is gradually establishing himself as the golfer of the moment, is expected to display his winning prowess, which had made him annexing more trophies this year.

Other golfers who would be seen in action include J.P. Smith, the defending champion, Wisdom Asempa, Van Heist, David Atuwo and Felix Majekodunmi.

The professionals would start their 36-Hole Scratch event on Friday, June 13 and ends on Saturday, June 14.

Mr Ishmael Evans Yamson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unilever Ghana would be the Guest of Honour.
