Striker Asamoah Gyan got stretched off on the opening day of the Asian Champions League as his side Shanghai SIPG lost 2-1 at Melbourne Victory.

The Ghana captain picked up a thigh injury was replaced by Lu Wen Jun on 63 minutes.

Besart Berisha netted a penalty with 17 minutes remaining as the Australian side kicked off their campaign with a win.
